Adhkar After Every Prayer

One of the most common uses for a tasbih counter is the dhikr recommended right after each of the five daily prayers. A well-known hadith (Sahih Muslim) describes saying the following 33 times each:

DhikrArabicCount
SubhanAllahسُبْحَانَ اللّٰه33
Alhamdulillahالْحَمْدُ لِلّٰه33
Allahu Akbarاللّٰهُ أَكْبَر33

That totals 99. To complete 100, the hadith adds saying: “lā ilāha illallāh, waḥdahu lā sharīka lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamd, wa huwa ‘alā kulli shay’in qadīr” (there is no god but Allah alone, with no partner; His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is able to do all things) once. The hadith mentions that a person’s minor sins are forgiven if they keep to this after every prayer.

Tasbih of Fatimah (Before Sleeping)

Another widely known set, narrated from Ali ibn Abi Talib (Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim), is recited before sleeping: SubhanAllah 33 times, Alhamdulillah 33 times, and Allahu Akbar 34 times — 100 in total.
