Frequently Asked Questions
How do I calibrate my prayer timing?
Go to the Calibrate section in the app, select your prayer (Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha, or Taraweeh), and pray normally. Tap or scroll at the end of each rakaa — the app records your personal timing for future guided prayers.
Can someone else calibrate for me?
Yes! Another person can hold the device and tap at the end of each rakaa while you pray. This is helpful if you prefer not to interact with the device during prayer.
How does Prayer Mode work?
After calibration, select your prayer type. The app guides you through each rakaa with a visual countdown based on your calibrated timing. On Apple Watch, you feel a strong haptic vibration at each rakaa transition — no need to look at the screen. The app advances automatically.
What is Manual Prayer?
Manual Prayer lets you count each rakaa yourself with a tap or the Digital Crown on Apple Watch — no calibration needed. Perfect for when you want simple counting without timed guidance.
How does Taraweeh Mode work?
Taraweeh Mode supports 12-rakaa prayers for Ramadan. Calibrate your Taraweeh timing once, then the app guides you through all rakaas with haptic feedback. Perfect for praying at home.
What is the Tasbih / Dhikr counter?
A simple tap counter for dhikr with light haptic feedback on every count. Tap the screen or use the Digital Crown on Apple Watch to increment. Works independently from prayer modes.
How does Wudu Tracking work?
Toggle your Wudu status with a quick tap. The app tracks when you last made ablution and syncs the status across all your devices via iCloud.
How do I get the best experience on Apple Watch?
Turn on Silent Mode on your Apple Watch before praying. Haptic vibrations still work — you feel every rakaa change on your wrist without any sound. Pair with Do Not Disturb for a fully uninterrupted prayer.
How do I add a Watch Complication?
Long press on your Apple Watch face, tap Edit, scroll to add a complication, and select Prayer Memory. One tap on the complication opens Manual Prayer directly — the fastest way to start counting.
How do I add iOS Widgets?
On iPhone, long press your Home Screen, tap the + button, search for Prayer Memory, and choose a widget. You can also add Lock Screen widgets for instant access without unlocking your phone.
How does iCloud Sync work?
All your prayer history, calibrations, and Wudu status sync automatically across iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch through your personal iCloud account. Make sure iCloud is enabled in your device settings. No account with us is required.
Can I use the Digital Crown?
Yes! On Apple Watch, scroll the Digital Crown to count rakaas in Manual Prayer mode. It works in both directions — scroll up to increment, scroll down to adjust.
Does the app work offline?
Yes! Prayer Memory works completely offline. No internet connection is required for any core features. iCloud sync happens automatically when connectivity is available.
Can I use Siri to start a prayer?
Yes! Say "Hey Siri, start my prayer" for hands-free activation. Siri integration works on both iPhone and Apple Watch.
How do I change the language?
Prayer Memory supports English and Arabic. The app follows your device's language settings. Change your device language in Settings → General → Language & Region.
Does the app store my data or require an account?
No account is required. All data stays on your devices and syncs only through your personal iCloud. We do not collect any personal information.
